Traveling has always been a passion of mine. It encourages the development of a critical sense of seeing, exploring, and understanding buildings and places of architectural interest. This entails a critical and intellectual engagement with the object(s) of study; passive, unengaged observations are abandoned in favor of active modes of observation and analysis. During my 1-year study abroad program in Barcelona, I compiled a record of graphic and written notes of my architectural journey of seeing and experiencing.
