ABOUT

Alice Fang is a designer from Sao Paulo, Brazil, based in Los Angeles. She currently works as an Intermediate Architectural Professional at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) at the LA office. She leads the global SOM Winter Shadowship and is passionate about her activism through NOMA, Women’s Initiative, Arquitectos, and Asian Alliance. She previously worked as a design intern at MODU in Brooklyn, co-led the student organization LatinGSAPP, collaborated as an editor for Patio, and worked as teaching assistant for the graduate-level design studios and as maker space monitor at GSAPP.


She graduated from Columbia University GSAPP in the Masters of Architecture program and was awarded the Alpha Rho Chi Medal and the William Kinne Fellows Traveling Prize. She received her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and Business Administration Minor from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2018. During her senior year, she lived one year in Barcelona to study at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (ETSAV).
